A sampler of presentation decks, maps, booklets, and reports created for the regional SF Bay Area government agency, Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), and its agency affiliates

In 2022 I joined MTC as a presentation and general graphic designer and accessible documents advisor. In short time, this proved to be my dream job: public service is deeply meaningful work, I get to collaborate with passionate colleagues, and create in all areas of design I most love:

• Presentations and data visualization to convey what’s most important

• Mapmaking to help planners and the public understand what goes on around us and make good decisions

• Covers and report layouts to engage a wide variety of audiences

• Robust templates that serve my colleagues’ needs and goals as well as be Section 508 and WCAG compliant

• Accessible documents advocacy and guidance — accessibility makes thing better for everybody!

My audiences range from other government agencies to elected officials and, of course, the public. Projects run the gamut from transportation and transit to affordable housing, environmental conservation projects, and climate change mitigation efforts. They all address affordability, accessibility, and even reparations to communities who have experienced systemic racism. Truly meaningful work.
